Montreal-born guitarist Peter Leitch in a program of beguiling originals and standards, topped by a rather charming misinterpretation of Albert Ayler’s Ghosts, taken back to its supposed calypso roots. With George Cables on piano. (Reservoir Music RSR CD 179, 2004)

I'm happy when I can give something back! Stay tuned…
ReplyDeletePeter Leitch is a great player and shows several faces on this album, with the calypso song "Ghosts" (very pleasing one) or the unaccompanied "East of the sun" (a winner). I recently discovered this guy and I'm fond of his playing, another great player from Canada !
ReplyDeleteThank you Rhythm Changes for sharing this one
